形態特徵

• Suffruticose plants, to 1 m tall, covered with simple, septate hairs; stems square, angles obtuse, puberulent.
• Leaves petiolate; petioles 2–4 cm long, minutely hairy; blades broadly ovate to ovate, 4–9 cm long, 3–5 cm wide, base acute to round, apex acuminate, margins serrate, both surfaces minutely hairy, glandular dotted beneath.
• Inflorescences of verticillate cymes forming a loose one-sided raceme, terminal or axillary; bracts broadly ovate, base obtuse to round, apex acuminate to caudate, both surfaces glabrous to minutely hairy. Flowers pedicellate; pedicels ca. 2 mm long, minutely hairy; calyx campanulate, puberulent, bilabiate, 2–4 mm long, upper lip 3-toothed, teeth narrowly triangular, lower lip 2-toothed; corolla tubular-campanulate, bilabiate, 8–10 mm long, puberulent outside and on throat, upper lip 2-lobed, lobes ovate, lower lip 3-lobed, central lobe larger than lateral lobes; stamens 4, didynamous, long-exserted, filaments glabrous, anthers 2-celled; stigma bifid.
• Nutlets globose, ca. 2 mm wide, reticulate.
